College of Health and Human Sciences Virtual Health Equity Symposium
This year has been rife with tensions and tragedies around race and social justice. Between protests for justice, and the health disparities laid bare by COVID-19, the need to address health and healthcare-related inequalities cannot be overstated. The College of Health and Human Sciences is answering this call by hosting in a two-day virtual symposium on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13 for A&T faculty, staff and students, faith communities in Guilford, Rockingham and Alamance counties, partners at Cone Health and NC Action Coalition, and community members. The goal of this year’s symposium is to generate a robust discussion on prevention, health behaviors, healthcare experiences and best practices for moving forward.
